Christmas Date Outift

Hello lovelies,

The day before yesterday Jake and I had our annual Christmas date, which started when we first started to date in 2010. This is our last Christmas as an engaged couple before marriage so I wanted to document it for you all to see! Here are a few pictures of the night we spent together! First we started off with exchanging gifts over at my house then a home cooked fancy dinner by Jake, a great message at church, then a movie night with our closest friends! The evening was beyond perfect and I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas date with your loves.

My outfit:

I bought this dress at Forever 21! I loved the color of the dress and it is perfect for Christmas time if you want to change it up from the same old green and red! I got the tights and the shoes over at Target on clearance! The shoes are black wedges, which are beyond wonderful.

The perfect steak dinner with garlic mashed potatoes and crispy green beans, covered in a savory sauce of butter, red wine, and the juices of the steak. Oh my, if I could eat this all day, I would.

The makeup that I used on my eyes were MICA Beauty cosmetics shimmer powder (17 Bronze), gel eyeliner, Cover Girl mascara. On my lips I used my EOS lip balm covered with Cover Girl lip stick (425 Vintape Wine).

Happy Holidays, my darlin'!

It’s never too early to be thankful to The Lord on this chill December morning! “But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”” •1 Samuel 16:7•

"Trust in the Lord with all of your heart."

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
    Proverbs 3:5-6
For the past few weeks, I have been looking over the understanding of trust. Such a small and simple word. “I trust you, do you trust me?” Trust in the dictionary have a few different definitions:

1. reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.
2. confident expectation of something; hope.
3. confidence in the certainty of future payment for property or goods received; credit: to sell merchandise on trust.
4.a person on whom or thing on which one relies: God is my trust.
5. the condition of one to whom something has been entrusted.
We need trust. It doesn’t matter what the problem is, trust is something that we look for to have a hope, confidence, and/or strength to make it through something. Thankfully, we have a faithful God who is open for us to trust IN Him whenever that time may be.

Throughout the Bible, we can see how much trusting in the Lord is so extremely important. Trusting in the promise Christ gave us, and trusting in our Father’s plan for us is so amazing. He is the creator over every SINGLE thing, He keeps the smallest bugs living, to keeping the brilliant sun above the sky, why would He NOT  take care of your when He created you after His own image?

In this Proverbs verse, trust can translate to the word of dwell. Dwell in the Lord, reside in Him completely, stay ‘at home’ in Him, totally, completely, with all that you are. However, this does not give us the right to trust in the Lord to complete our desires…because simply He will do whatever He has planned, not what you have in mind for Him to do. (Side note - we do need to pray for things; if in His plan then He will grace us. But we must always pray for His will and plan to be done!) We must release our desires to be in control, or even not understand everything that is happening to us, rather, to dwell in the One who does.

"In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
   Proverbs 3:6

Stress has overcome my life lately; I have taken my trust from Him into myself, which caused more stress. In the past few days have I realized what I was doing and just wanted to trust in Him because I know I am secure in Him forever. No matter what happens to me, I know trusting in Him is so much better than trusting in myself.
"The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower."
     Psalm 18:2
The Lord is faithful, patience, loving; merciful towards us. I just cannot be more thankful to have a God that when we trust in Him, He will supply our every need and take care of us according to His will. He is my refuge, He is my fortress, and in Him will I trust. (Psalm 91:2)

Trust is such a powerful thing. Trust in the Lord, and He will lead you into the truth.
