A Personal Struggle

On Instagram I touched on this a little bit, but I believe a blog post more in-depth was needed.  This is a personal struggle that I deal with, but I know that many women feel this way.  I struggle with self-esteem and self-confidence issues.  I have had this since I was very little and I have not been able to shake it.  The reason why I have those issues?  I have such , SUCH,   low view of myself.  When I look in the mirror, I don't see someone who holds value in my family, friends, or even my fiancĂ©'s life. I look at other and wonder why I look like what I do and I view myself as stumpy and fat...these are just a few of the things I think.  No, I don't think this all of the time and no, it is not a conscious thought process that I think every waking moment. It, however, is there in the back of my mind and pops out at the worst times.

However, tonight I really start to remember and think about the message that Pastor preached on Sunday.  While it was talking about how to see a true disciple, he said a few key things that rang truth, no matter what the subject was!

               1. When we give our lives to Christ, that is when we truly find life.
               2. We are worth because the blood of Christ made us worthy.

Our live, beauty and worth, should be measured by Christ standards instead of the ones we have or the worlds.  While most of the time we do sink into the worlds view, remember to stop and think.  For myself, I put so much pressure on myself that I fall into a downward spiral until I cannot take it anymore.  However, don't let yourself hit rock bottom like I do. Remember to accept that we will fail in the actions that we try to do to be worthy or be viewed as beautiful, we are always covered by the blood of Christ. We are a new creature, worthy, have hope and relief in Christ and Christ alone.

Lots of deep thoughts as I watch the snow fall. Stay warm, my darlings! xoxo

Sweet baby Alaina.

My brother and my Sister-in-Law, Matt and Christina, were expecting their first baby to come on January 18th 2014, yet due to complications earlier it was pushed up to January 11th 2014....and I am so glad it did! This woman is now an auntie! Alaina Paige Rossini Robinson. Alaina is just only a little baby girl, not even a week old, and I already love her to smittens! She was born at 8:10PM, 7 pounds, 6.9 ounces with brown hair and blue eyes. I just cannot wait to see how I can impact her life as she grows up into a beautiful woman.  I pray the Lord let me be a large part in her life, words can't describe the excitement I feel to be an aunt. However, should I be an aunt already at 21? Yikes! :)

(the sky around 8 PM waiting for the call to come see the new Rossini Robinson!)

(the teaser picture by brother sent us when she was all cleaned up)

(miss Alaina with auntie :))

(miss Alaina with grandpa, I promise to show a picture with grandma soon!)

So sorry for the horrible qualities in the last few pictures, most of them were taken via iPhone. I will get some pictures of her soon that were taken with the Nikon, but enjoy these cute pictures for now :)

The New Year!

It is sad to already say that the first nine days of the New Year is gone, and way too fast may I add. I hope that New Years Eve and first nine have been beyond wonderful for everyone! Even before New Years, I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas with those dear loved ones. Mine?

Well ... my New Years went much better since I had the flu all through Christmas, which really bummed me out. However, I was thankful that my mother and my fiancĂ© stayed with me through the week taking care of me and watching a ton of Christmas movies with me. Even with getting sick,
it was needed because I had worked myself down to the core during the school semester and the rest that I did gain was needed. By New Years, I felt so much better and was able to fully enjoy celebrating 2014 coming in with Jake and Glen!

Here is a picture of us three right after we toasted in 2014...with a small glass of chocolate milk :)

Now if you follow my Instagram, @chelesara, I have posted a few things about my goals for this year and a constant remind I getting right now.

2014 is year that will bring me the greatest change in my whole life that I will live on this world. The year that I gain a new name by marrying a man I love very much, become know as a "wife", a learn how to truly become an adult. The feeling of anxiousness is something I can't shake, but I am thankful for the constant reminder from the Lord to be patient in His timing and to constantly rely on His strength. Remember in every single thing, He and His timing is perfect.

Happy *late* New Year, lovelies!
