"...and with his wounds we are healed."

Isaiah 52-53 is just two chapters that I find perfect to express glory and honor to Jesus on Good Friday.

"Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed." Isaiah 52:4-5

The love that Jesus has by accepting the punishment for our sins makes me speechless. The high and lifted up (Isaiah 6:1) was pierced, crushed, chastised, and wounded to save us to bring Him everlasting glory. How can we not be thankful? How can we not be in awe by the greatness of His plan, love, grace, and forgiveness? Jesus did not just suffered in his body but in his deepest inner self. Jesus' sacrificial death set sinners (gentiles included!) free from their guilt before God and cling to him as children. It is because of Jesus that we can have peace because He paid it all, "because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors." (Isaiah 53:12). Today we humble ourselves and show our thankfulness through praise that Jesus died for our sins so that we may have eternal life and to bring Him glory in the highest.

Happy Good Friday, my darlings!
